The houses were built for temporary use. Those in wood would last for 20 years and the brick sotsgorod would house people for 40 to 60 years. The blocks had three or four floors. There were three variants: the first had a long corridor in the middle with rooms to the left and the right, then there were the family apartments with a shared kitchen and sanitary facilities and there were apartments with an individual kitchen and bathroom.
